Hey everyone! I wanted to give y’all an update on what life has been like for the past 2 and a half weeks.

So I landed in Georgia and had a great week of leadership training with different speakers from the staff pouring into us. Talks like spiritual warfare, cost of leadership, conflict mediation, biblical servant leadership etc. were among some we discussed. The best example I have for what the first week was like is a “sponge that is in front of an open fire hydrant”! Ha! The racers ended up getting here and we started the process of getting to know each other with different team-building games. Over the course of the next few days we had started to get vulnerable and really feel like a community. When you sleep, eat, play, and learn with the same people 24hr a day you start to either like them or not and we have been blessed with everyone being comfortable and friendly with each other! God has been more than apparent in the sessions and worship events. I’ve seen many smiles and many tears. I can’t wait to get out on the field in 4 days (Jan. 30)! Mak (my co- leader) and I have seen so much potential in these guys and girls and I can’t wait to share more with what God does in them and the communities we are ministering to. One awesome God moment was last night! We had a long day of teachings over how to evangelize or tell someone about the good news! After the sessions we had the opportunity to actually go out in the Georgia community and minister to whoever God showed us! There were so many awesome stories that happened just 15 hours ago but the one I thought is most glorifying to God is the one that one of my racers was a vessel for! We were in a normal shopping center with a Chick-Fil-A, Ross, Michaels, and a Publix grocery store to set the scene. We went from store to store just trying to talk to people and be led by the Spirit to who he might want us to go up and talk to. Well while I am walking out of one store I see Matt (one of the racers) praying and talking to these guys that look homeless. I kept going on and didn’t want to interrupt but later was told how the guy told Matt that he had severe back problems. Matt took it to Jesus and laid his hands on him and prayed for Jesus to heal his back and HE DID! I heard this story second hand but thought I had to share it with y’all just to show y’all that he is still a God of miracles. He is still moving and working in the lives of those who trust and have faith in him. Wow so awesome!

All in all it has been an eventful time and again I cant wait to share more with y’all as time goes on. We should land in South Africa on Jan. 31 and drive into Eswatini that same day! That’s all I have for now. Love y’all and may you feel God’s gentleness today:)

Prayer Request: we are all starting to get the sniffles and sore throats if you can ask God to help us over come the sickness/have the strength to endure!
